Hey Daisy,

Congratulations on completing your story! You have developed a very interesting story about finding rest and joy between the busy lives that we’re all living these days. Also, your music fits the sequences very well, and the voice-overs were well understandable!

At the beginning, you set up an interesting situation / dilemma for the mother, since she wants to do her best for the promotion, but (1) her child is playing in that room as well (very recognizable for many work-from-home parents since the pandemic) and (2) it’s Sunday. These two factors get her in a complicated situation. Great job on that!

When the mother gets inside her own mind, you did a fantastic job on the role that the monkey played throughout those sequences, very clever idea! Her learned lesson of having joy and rest is conveyed in a very clear and compelling way.

Towards the end, when the phone rings, I totally justify her action of not answering the phone, since it’s Sunday and she needs to have some rest and playtime with her daughter.

Well, in case you didn’t know by know, I’m impressed by your story, great work!

Hi Daisy, I loved this story of the monkey mind. It's a metaphor to always enjoy quailty time with friends and family. I also liked your voiceover and sound effects being used to tell the story. I think you have a great style and the art direction flowed well.

I see major improvements in your story since last week’s submission. I was very confused about the monkey mind, but now you mention that at the very beginning of the first act, so it’s much easier to understand it now.
The dialogue also helps to understand what it’s happening much better. What I would recommend you is to lower the volume or even eliminate the voice on the phone, as it distracts a bit from the main dialogue.

What I find particularly interesting about your story that I think is unique from what I've seen on the program so far, is that the main character realizes for herself that what she needs is not to work every day to get promoted in her job, but to find the necessary time to enjoy with her family. I really like that she comes to this process of understanding through exploring her feelings through meditation. Realizing our own needs is very difficult and sometimes we tend to deny it, I really like that you have reflected this process in your story.

I like the way things happen in his mind, it's very surreal. I like it.
I get confused by certain shots when they appear and disappear in the jungle.
At the beginning you have many shots that are very close and close to the characters, it would be good to give it some play by opening the shot from time to time.
