Once upon a time there was a girl named Akira.
She and a bunch of people lived in a small nocturnal town named Sea Hope. They are just one of many humans that have evolved to become nocturnal.
Akira is a daredevil and a rule follower at the same time
Everyday Akira would hang out with her friends.
And also wonder about what the city looked like during daytime, the only topic no one ever seemed to talk about.
Until one day, Akira asked her parents and her parents told her about a legend that says you will be cursed if you roam in the city in “daytime”.
The poor, demanding parents had no idea about their daredevil daughter. They knew her as the angel who was the perfect daughter.
Akira was curious, but was careful to not show it because her parents seemed so passionate about the legend. Therefore, her parents kept talking about it everyday.
Because of that Akira’s curiosity reaches its peak, being the daredevil she is. However, she is also a rule follower.
Her parents and family always boast about their obedient daughter.
They have led her to believe that she needs to be a perfect daughter. Therefore, she is only a daredevil with her friends to maintain that image.
Because of that, Akira is stuck at a decision. Follow her daredevil instinct, or listen to her parents' perhaps superstitious warning.
Her friends express some doubt that Akira will actually go through with this.
They have always teased her about being a rule-follower
Because of that, Akira decides to go in the “daytime” and prove to her friends that she can do this.
She goes, and realizes that there is no curse. The city was so beautiful in the “daytime”.
She goes home but doesn’t tell the story, so as to not destroy the legend.
Until finally, Akira realizes that there is a time to be obedient and follow the rules and there is a time to be independent and follow your own instincts.
And ever since then, Akira is a little more independent, especially when it comes to her parents.
She still knows when to obey the rules, but she’s also a daredevil and independent person more than ever.

The moral of the story is to be independent and know when to take risks and know when to follow the rules and be safe.
